This is an amazing quote.  It is misattributed to Thomas Jefferson, but was uttered by Gerald R Ford, 38th President of the United States of America.  Addressed to the second session of the 93rd Congress on August 12th, 1974.

God’s place is in our homes not in our government.  This was one of the principal ideologies of our forefathers.  When you vote tomorrow, please consider what is best for our people.  I assure you that God will still be there when you get home.
