The Iditarod race is on in Alaska and coincidentally solar wind is blowing passed Earth right now producing magnificent auroras in the Northern Sky.

I just wanted to post the picture, but I guess I should type some stuff out too. Now I thought we were down to just one orbiter. As you may recall the Columbia and the Challenger, along with their crews, have met an unfortunate end; however, there are in fact three orbiters left. The Discovery, the Atlantis, and the Endeavour. It is very true that they haven’t been flying any more orbiter missions, at least not since 2002. We can only hope while the International Space Station and Hubble suffer.

I have recently discovered that sampling an image is a no no. I am reposting my 300zx’s image below.

Category M Solar Storm with possible chances of increasing to a category X Solar Storm. Category M storms can cause radio black outs in affected areas for prolonged times. Category X storms caused increased radio black outs, unusual aurora activity, and prolonged radiation storms. Stay up to date at http://www.spaceweather.com.
